about

DESTRUCTION is not picture in the cover art because he abandoned his post. These days you can find him dressing like a hippie and writing new age (bad) poetry. Since he abandoned his realm, Destruction's song selection isn't the typical battle rap you would expect to find on a hip hop album, but rather it's "Joshua Tree", rumored to be one of the places he goes to when he seeks inspiration to write.

lyrics

i.

Looks like winter's arrived early, I can almost taste the frost
Piercing into my abdomen like memories forgotten
And sentiments are lost in the haze of the fog
When autumn springs suddenly and the temperature's dropping
I retreat into the spectrum of quiet introspection
Carrying the questions like a shaman on his walk
I move without talking, I'm steadily stalking
Checking my sub conscience thru the eye of a hawk
From a view high above I zero in on the cub
And there ain't no stopping he's like a child thats in love
Made it through a rough patch this past season was tough
But now I see a clear path no obstruction or fluff
I can read the road map all the cross outs and scrubs
Wear it like an old hat, rumors become known facts
Bring it to the rap club, tell it in the third act
It's a process of love all the things I brought back.

ii.

Check the essential vitamins and minerals
Running with the blood, coursing through the central
nervous system to the mental, let the beat seep thru
Deep into my spectrum affecting the color and hue
And the prism from which I see thru reveal patches of fruits
Patterns are inhabited by momentary clues
Ambiguous in description, neither circles nor cubes
And I offer no resistance to the angels in my purview
And what happens next I can't be sure of my dude
But I could feel its effect and the impact was huge
Like an invisible hand that guided me in my youth
So i strapped on my rain boots and bear witness to miracles
Unequivocal, I can see time space indivisible
And if you weren't there it might sound hysterical
A mystery of the mind, sublime like mankind
I came looking for the answers found questions undefined.

iii.

After the clouds fade away and the sun rose at noon
I can see faces of warrior looking back thru the ruins
Figures connect like orgy before the coming of doom
Showing me the history of past glory and gloom
I climbed up on those rocks and walked the path before me
And if the faces could talk would they share their stories
I thought, "Could this be the working of God,
that sculpted these images from centuries forgotten?"
Washed away thru time, sunk into the sediments
Softened by the wind, sculpted by the elements
Battle worn and torn but there's no need for alarm
I can feel my psyche transform thru the storm
Abstract in form before the process' informed
Wrap around my body like metaphysical arms
Once my gift is received it takes corporeal form
When I utter these sentences the world is reborn.
