i. Hey Citos, wassup bro, it's been a long time yo. Sorry i missed u last winter, we cut it kinda close. I called u for a visit your brother answered the phone. He told me you were sick and they took u to the hospital. Didn't see you when I got there, they said that you went home. And that was good to hear, oh yeah Rich P was also there. How long have we known each other? thirty-something years? I don’t know if that's correct though, my memory ain't so clear. It's getting warmer now, let's hang out next time I’m there. You can check out my Soundcloud or we can grab some beers And reminisce about the old time, how long has it been C? And if I haven’t already said so I liked your sculpture G. You got some talent man, I think it might be your time my friend. Me? I’m still trying to find some balance before I meet my end. Don’t wanna live among the shadows or fight these worthless battles. Well anyways I’m out, but imma holla at you. (Chorus) When you open the Book of Life and Death You realize the pages turn themselves Ink of soul canvas of flesh In the end we all end up the same ii. No Pops I won't read your last statement I ain't gonna let u stop. You’re my continuous loop and I love you like hip hop. And I know that by this time you thought I'd make it to the top. Dad i promise you i’ll get there before the music stops. And I hope you do believe me cause I need to make you see That I’ve processed all your words, all you’ve given me. And I've achieved some success but still lacked in self belief. Cause I’ve been making excuses, but I’m starting to believe. I know you want me to be closer but others rely on me So I can't move back just yet but I’ll visit more, you’ll see. And I can’t say for sure if I’ll add to the family tree But these songs are like my children and your blood flows in me. This one contemplates the universe for which you hold the key And I’m only but a vessel delivering your true beauty But not your eulogy not yet, not until you can see me at my best I'm a try to get there sooner before it's time for you to rest. (Chorus) When you open the Book of Life and Death You realize the pages turn themselves Ink of soul canvas of flesh In the end we all end up the same iii. Hey was sup kid, tell me who are you trying to kid? Your nights are getting longer and your days are way too sluggish. I don't mean to be judgmental or get all up in your biz But I hope you find some answers cause it's time to get to business. You have one life to live, it's time you start to live it Or hurry up and die. don't carry no misgivings. You're shifting side to side and making no commitments. That shit I can't abide, meanwhile you're missing out on life. Sometimes you make me wonder what happened to the hunger? Did it seep into the water? the bridge it traveled under? Was the past so tragic that the future holds no thunder? Just a flash of light that's fading and leaving us asunder. When darkness comes i think about the wonders in the skies And if we leave no legacy will our memories suffice? If you believe in one thing child I pray you trust in this The blood that flows through your vein is carrying forgiveness.

i. Was it just yesterday we took a walk by the lake But then we came home and you were breaking our plates. I should have known then we were doomed for a break But we hesitated and kept running in place. So I debated, concluded we couldn't relate Cause you were too young, maybe I was too late. I never imagined we'd ever end up this way But when it was done we turned love into hate. Little arguments soon escalated like spores And the battles we fought elevated to war. You finally succeeded in opening the door To a place from my past before I was yours. You took a look at the landscape then turned back in horror. You found my Gomorrah then explored it like Dora. And soon after that you started losing your aura Cause I did all I could couldn't do it no more. (Chorus) Still I remember when we used to be one. Remember you told me, "We already won." Once made a promise that we'd stay together as one. But we under-estimated what's already been done. My one love one lust you were second to none. Wasted our one chance for one life under the sun. Broke our one promise lost the promise of one. Guess we over-estimated destiny hon. ii. Two hearts two minds two souls intertwined Too many problems lets call it off tonight. I used to think this love would take us two to new heights But we're stuck in the abyss, we can't even see light. Must we play this silly game over who's wrong and who's right Cause I don't want to fight, I just want to chill tonight. Swallow the poison pill submit to your will so ill Feelings spill overkill tell me what's the deal. I don't want to hear you crying or telling me you're dying. I'm sick of getting stressed out man I'm barely surviving. I'm sorry babe, I know that I lied but there ain't no denying You were in compliance, let's just put this behind us. I hope in time you find what you're looking for And learn to be kind, cause this love is over babe No need to rewind. My life's been streamlined. Made that bee-line out the door. Guess we over-estimated destiny hon. iii. Where are you now love? Have you been bored? Have you reached that magical number you've been meaning to score? Are you enamored? Have you been adored? Have you traveled to places you ain't been to before? Yeah I've been alright. I've stayed ashore. I haven't been thinking about you that much anymore But recently I've thought about writing this song And I was looking back on the path where we both went wrong. I think we didn't have an understanding I think we thought That it didn't really matter what we said when we fought. We took our love for granted that's when we forgot That words do matter, yes they do mean a lot. Guess we didn't know what we got til it's lost now it's gone. Girl you've been gone for a while and I thought I moved on. Remember when you asked me why I never wrote you a song? Well this song is for you and you can pass it along.

i. If ever there's a time u can't find me Just look up in the sky that's where i be Out of mind out of body look what i see A trail of energy blazing for centuries Take u back to the land of make believe Where MCs spit rhymes like they think and read Where lyrical heads emerge from the dead Cause it's better to lead then to be mislead ii. Feel the rhyme texture as i spit lines like vectors Make the secular spiritual a lyrical specter As i connect different aspects of ancient texts And make it relevant for the modernist sector Show respect and deference to different frames of references And then let the four elements create the world through sediment Every word is an extension of my intent To invent and break convention through my sentences have i mention I'm a writer/wordmaker on the mic Where i invite you to pen with insight and spit like you fight A traveler of the night, in transit Moving through outlandish circumstances to awaken the senses I maintain a balance between labor and talent To keep the ego in check and the effort is valiant Scale mountains and mountains, i'm on a new tangent My internal compass leads me to cause damage

i. Looks like winter's arrived early, I can almost taste the frost Piercing into my abdomen like memories forgotten And sentiments are lost in the haze of the fog When autumn springs suddenly and the temperature's dropping I retreat into the spectrum of quiet introspection Carrying the questions like a shaman on his walk I move without talking, I'm steadily stalking Checking my sub conscience thru the eye of a hawk From a view high above I zero in on the cub And there ain't no stopping he's like a child thats in love Made it through a rough patch this past season was tough But now I see a clear path no obstruction or fluff I can read the road map all the cross outs and scrubs Wear it like an old hat, rumors become known facts Bring it to the rap club, tell it in the third act It's a process of love all the things I brought back. ii. Check the essential vitamins and minerals Running with the blood, coursing through the central nervous system to the mental, let the beat seep thru Deep into my spectrum affecting the color and hue And the prism from which I see thru reveal patches of fruits Patterns are inhabited by momentary clues Ambiguous in description, neither circles nor cubes And I offer no resistance to the angels in my purview And what happens next I can't be sure of my dude But I could feel its effect and the impact was huge Like an invisible hand that guided me in my youth So i strapped on my rain boots and bear witness to miracles Unequivocal, I can see time space indivisible And if you weren't there it might sound hysterical A mystery of the mind, sublime like mankind I came looking for the answers found questions undefined. iii. After the clouds fade away and the sun rose at noon I can see faces of warrior looking back thru the ruins Figures connect like orgy before the coming of doom Showing me the history of past glory and gloom I climbed up on those rocks and walked the path before me And if the faces could talk would they share their stories I thought, "Could this be the working of God, that sculpted these images from centuries forgotten?" Washed away thru time, sunk into the sediments Softened by the wind, sculpted by the elements Battle worn and torn but there's no need for alarm I can feel my psyche transform thru the storm Abstract in form before the process' informed Wrap around my body like metaphysical arms Once my gift is received it takes corporeal form When I utter these sentences the world is reborn.

Was that just static noise? Or was it your voice using the choiciest words ever uttered or heard and caused me to stop in mid-flow while engulfed in the moist of your afterglow. After an enchanted evening spent in silent seduction, subdued like an idle resemblance to the dark days of tomorrow Coming unglue with sadness as I move towards your madness with my heart of sorrow. Are you my Goddess in a Red Apron? Or a simulation of my mythic mistress of a wife? Or just another muse bearing false fruits holding the lyrical knife to cut the hurt and nurse my inside? Chemically our intercourse takes it's course mechanically. And candidly I grow attached rapidly Reach out to you automatically. I yearn for the warmth of your familiarity As I wait for a signal to encapsulate this moment of isolation with clever words of desperation. Or the purple capsule taken to awaken my sleepfrom an affair with the fair maiden. Awaken to this revelation that every aspect of this relationship was just a figment of my imagination.

i. Suzy laid back and tried to relax Outside the demons had turned the sky black Last night a man grabbed her and even tried to slap her Sparked her in the dark and left her with her thoughts after In a whorehouse where the masters kept her Underneath the steps where countless men slept with her She was the wide eyed mistress of the red light district Clientele consisted of playboys and misfits And she kept a list of their vital statistics So she could leave her mark on their hearts like lipstick I met her at a club and soon got her digits Then discovered 'bout the others and told her i wasn't with it I called her a whore and told her to quit I was so livid I said, "You're a mother fuckin bitch!" She told me to leave her alone if I couldn't handle it And then she hung up the phone and that was it. (chorus) Don't sell your soul today cause there's always tomorrow Don't give her all your love if her heart's already borrowed If her touch turns cold don't let her make your soul hollow Don't worry about the rain let it wash away your sorrow ii. After two weeks pretending like I didn't really care I went back to the club but Suzy wasn't there She changed all of her number, I heard she was on a tear Looks like if I wanna be with her I'm a have to share Ain't something I prepared for; who said love was fair? I ran thru the scenes of us avoiding all the stares All the hidden things between us, like the drums and the snares We were in sync physically but not mentally there Time to end our affair, little did I know She left me a note I opened it read it and this was what she wrote "I'm gone" it said, quote unquote, almost choked On those words and then I cleared my throat Booked the first boat outta town, left the city broke And as I'm writing this down I don't aim to emote Don't claim to be Casanova, don't mean to provoke Just sharing my adventure please don't tell my folks.

i. If I like you I'll tell you I'll never yell girl I'll call you every day there's no way I will fail you And if I don't call I'm probably out with the fellas But when I get home I will make it all better If I'm ever away I will write you a letter Straight from my heart like all my endeavors My life has been a dream since the day that I met you I'm doing my best staying true to my efforts Put your worries away I won't hurry or stress you Rest your head on my chest I'll caress you forever I'll carry the letter like Hester let it fester After all we're involved and that's a small gesture Whatever's your request baby girl I'll sequester I'm addicted to your love you're the best it's a pleasure Whatever's your request baby girl I'll sequester I'm addicted to your love you're the best. ii. Objectively speaking that first verse was fine But it don't take a genius to know you can't be defined When your moms met your pops the planets were aligned Cause the love they made made a baby so fine I finally found you girl, you're a true find For a chance to be with you I can walk the line Let me finish this song so we can spend some time Better yet stop now before you change your mind.

about

The Endless is a concept album comprising seven songs representing the seven siblings of the ENDLESS. The album came together as I tried to imagine what song each sibling would contribute.

DESTINY is the eldest of the Endless. He is always carrying the "Book of Life & Death" with him whenever he travels.

DEATH is the second eldest of the ENDLESS. My favorite character of the comic series, she also happens to have my personal favorite song on the album. "Pass It Along" is about the death of a relationship.

DREAM, also known as Morpheus, is the star of the Sandman series, the third eldest of the ENDLESS he reigns over the realm of DREAM. "Nocturnal Travelogue" is about all the places our imagination takes us when we sleep.

DESTRUCTION is not pictured in the cover art because he abandoned his post. These days you can find him dressing like a hippie, wandering aimlessly and writing new age (bad) poetry. Since he abandoned his realm, Destruction's song selection isn't the "battle rap" you might expect to find on a hip hop album, but rather it's "Joshua Tree", rumored to be one of the places he goes to when he seeks inspiration to write.

DESPAIR's song choice, "Goddess in a Red Apron" is about addiction of all kinds and how such addictions are often mistaken for (false) inspiration.

DESIRE's selection is "Suzy" which can be considered a Hip Hop version of the Police's classic song "Roxanne".

DELIRIUM is the youngest of the ENDLESS. Her contribution to the album is "Boy Meets Girl". After all, Is there anything that makes you feel more delirious than experiencing a brand new love?

All praise to the bard Neil Gaiman. Big ups to Hammond Dee, Brookz MC, Only1dob, Mr. Boston Beatdown, MOZ, SimonAyEm and Christopher Joya for their contributions.
